Anointed Pages Magazine presents the “AP Gospel Awards, Showcase and Conference” in Milwaukee, WI in fulfillment of the organization’s community service ministry on May 9th – 10th, 2008 by raising awareness among African American’s about Diabetes, its symptoms & treatment. For two days, Milwaukee, Wisconsin will transform into the gospel entertainment capitol of the world featuring savvy speakers, skill-sharpening workshops, artist showcases, networking opportunities, a stellar Awards Show line-up and more!
In today’s “information age,” knowledge is power. Now in its 2nd year, the AP Music Conference will feature workshops providing education and consultation from the best minds from the entertainment industry featuring speakers from the entertainment industry such as Walter Kearney (PAJAM), Bryant Scott (Tyscot Records), Adrian Warren (Vessel Ent.), Lance Williams (True Worship), Sean Pennington (FlipSide Ent.), Kymberlee Norsworthy (Zomba Gospel) and many more. Through these comprehensive workshops, participants will gain insight, practical knowledge and the tools to move forward in a constantly evolving industry. The conference is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the business in the entertainment industry.
The AP Music Conference will be held at the Mother Kathryn Daniels Conference Center and the Awards Ceremony will take place at Christian Faith Fellowship Church.
On Saturday, May 10th, 2008, there will be an Awards Ceremony honoring those who seek to glorify God through Christian music with two Awards presented to surprise delegates in the Gospel Music Industry - the Humanitarian Award given for philanthropic efforts in the music industry, and the Legacy Award, which is recognized as the most prestigious acknowledgment of career-long success in gospel music.
The Midwest’s premiere gospel talent (i.e. gospel choirs, quartets, singers, praise dancers) are invited to participate in this power packed weekend of education, revelation and celebration. This event promises to be a weekend of uplifting, motivational and inspiring Gospel talent who will praise God through their own unique styles.
Last year, only a music conference was held and brought out over 300 attendees from the entertainment industry throughout the city of Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
